A Principal's Perspective
Our first Aggie home game is this weekend! Whoop! Fall is in the air! I know that you probably heard about or read the ugly, hate mail Coach Sumlin received this week. In thinking about the Aggie family, the GP family, and our own community, it is incomprehensible that this kind of hate exits. When this was bravely shared, it strengthened my purpose, hopefully our purpose as a GP staff, to shape and mold our future with the students that we have today. Not only are we charged with preparing them academically, but we have the responsibility to instill acceptance, humanity, kindness, and the value of diversity in the few years that we have them. We can shape our future to be a better world than today. When I see the picture below, it gives me hope that we are preparing our students to achieve their dreams that they have for themselves. They will also be equipped with the social skills to create a world where each person is valued, accepted, and loved. Yes, we can design the possibilities for tomorrow!
Be Innovative - Design the possibilities!

CAMPUS Plan: https://drive.google.com/a/csisd.org/file/d/0B3mwTyJmg7GBeVhsMzdfYjdRTTQ/view?usp=sharing
Tardies: We will begin counting tardies close to 8:00. We will monitor traffic and close the back doors once the traffic clears. After that, students will be dropped off in the front so that they can enter the office. Students that are tardy will be given a tardy slip to give to their teacher.
AESOP: If you are submitting an absence in AESOP due to a district, campus activity, please add activity in the admin notes. I will be able to approve and make sure that the budget accounts are correct for each absence.
Subs: As you know, most of our subs from last year are now district staff members. I wanted to provide some possible contacts for you when trying to find a preferred sub for your class. Personnel is having another orientation today. So I should have more names coming your way.

Thank you to all the "moving crew" that helped to move all of the desks and chairs (Felt like 100s of them!). With your help, both the new classroom and Julie Holecek's resource room are furnished. Muscle power!!!
