*NEW* Smithfield Spirit Wear
Show your Smithfield spirit!! NEW Smithfield Spirit Wear is ready YOU!
The PTA is excited to offer a new line of Smithfield spirit wear (www.smithfieldspiritwear.com)! Families are now able to view products (new ones still being added), purchase, and have the items shipped to their homes with a click of a button. Due to the current school closure, items are only available for shipping. It may be helpful to think of ways to combine orders with Smithfield friends to help mitigate the cost of shipping.
Feel free to share the link with families and friends who may want to make gift purchases. We hope our dolphins and their families enjoy the new items to show their Smithfield spirit!

Immunizations
CMS families are encouraged to have their children immunized for the 2020-2021 school year. Vaccines and health assessments are required by the state for children to attend school. On Aug. 11, N.C. Gov. Roy Cooper extended the compliance deadline for immunizations and health assessments to Oct. 31.
Vaccinations are required for students entering kindergarten, seventh grade and 12th grade. Families may receive more information from their doctor, school nurse or the Mecklenburg County Public Health Department, 704-336-6500, which has vaccine-only appointments.
Mecklenburg County Public Health has provided multiple school immunization clinics on Saturdays; families can call for appointments for upcoming clinics Aug. 29 and Sept. 12. Click here for details.
