ROCKET NEWS
September 2023
Welcome Back!
Welcome to Robert D. Reynolds School for the 2023-2024 school year! I hope that the summer brought you joy and relaxation. We have missed the students and look forward to their return in September.
The 2023-2024 theme, "Be Kind, Be Smart and Have Fun. Reynolds Rockets are #1!" was created by second grader, Manvik Kunwar. First graders had the opportunity to write and submit theme ideas in their classrooms in June. It was really exciting to see what they came up with independently. We are so thankful and truly inspired by the themes that our students submitted this year.

First Day of School Information
Welcome Back to the 2023-2024 School Year! We are looking forward to the new year and hope that you are too. Please see this Welcome Back Letter for more information about the return to school. Genesis is Open. Please fill out all of the forms, especially dismissal forms, prior to the first day of school. We also ask that all parents complete this Google Form before the first day of school to indicate dismissal plans for the first week of school. This is helpful for our teachers for a seamless dismissal during the first few days of school. If your child is a bus rider, please also complete the Bus Form.
There are many resources for information. Throughout the year, you can reference our Reynolds Parent Handbook and access School Information using the Reynolds School Website. Each month you will receive the Monthly Calendar (attached) and Principal's Newsletter to keep you informed of important information and upcoming events. This monthly information will also be posted on the main page of our website. The Upper Saddle River School District also has an app. It is a great one-stop shop for all Upper Saddle River news, contact information, and Genesis login shortcuts. Please take a moment and download the Upper Saddle River BOE app to your smartphone. It can be found in the iOS app store and the Google Play store.
Throughout the summer, our staff has been involved in opportunities for professional development, training and planning. Thanks to the secretaries and custodians for all of their hard work over the summer to get the building ready for our new school year.
Welcome to Reynolds
K-8 Assistant Principal- Ms. Christi Cipollini
This year, we are fortunate to welcome Ms. Cipollini as our new K-8 assistant principal. Previously, Ms. Cipollini worked as the Supervisor of Personnel and Staff Development for the district. Ms. Cipollini may be reaching out throughout the year. She will be an additional resource for students and families across the district. We are so happy to have her support at Reynolds!
