Principal's Message

We are excited to welcome families and caregivers to conferences next week! Conferences are the perfect time to connect with your children's teachers around questions, concerns and celebrations. It's important that teachers and caregivers come together to discuss a student's academic and social growth and talk about our hopes and dreams for each child at CFT. While attending conferences next week, here are some questions you might ask your child's teacher:


  • What are my child’s strengths?

  • How is my child doing socially and emotionally in class? How do you support students socially and emotionally in class?

  • How is my child doing academically in class? Can you share work with me that shows me how they’re doing?

  • How do you support different learning abilities and styles in your classroom?

  • Does my child need extra help in any areas? What resources or programs are available to help them?

  • Do you have any suggestions for how I can support my child’s learning at home?

¡Estamos emocionados de dar la bienvenida a las familias y cuidadores a las conferencias de la próxima semana! Las conferencias son el momento perfecto para conectarse con los maestros de sus hijos en torno a preguntas, inquietudes y celebraciones. Es importante que los maestros y cuidadores se reúnan para discutir el crecimiento académico y social de un estudiante y hablar sobre nuestras esperanzas y sueños para cada niño en CFT. Mientras asista a las conferencias la próxima semana, aquí hay algunas preguntas que puede hacerle al maestro de su hijo:

  • ¿Cuáles son las fortalezas de mi hijo?
  • ¿Cómo le va a mi hijo social y emocionalmente en clase? ¿Cómo apoya a los estudiantes social y emocionalmente en clase?
  • ¿Cómo le va a mi hijo académicamente en clase? ¿Puedes compartir un trabajo conmigo que me muestre cómo les está yendo?
  • ¿Cómo apoya las diferentes habilidades y estilos de aprendizaje en su salón de clases?
  • ¿Mi hijo necesita ayuda adicional en alguna área? ¿Qué recursos o programas están disponibles para ayudarlos?

*Even if you have told your teacher, please call the Attendance Line before 8:30AM the day of an absence. If the attendance line is not called by 8:30AM the day of the absence, the office might not be able to put the excused absence in the system before the automated phone calls go out to unexcused absent students.

CFT Holiday Help

Holiday Help applications will be available for pickup in the office starting today (11/18/22) and at your family conferences. You may also download the application below.


Due to time constraints, please note that applications will not be accepted after December 7th at 3:00PM.

LOST & FOUND CLEANOUT

LOST & FOUND CLEANOUT

We will be cleaning out the Lost & Found on Monday, November 28, 2022. Any items that still remain at Noon on Monday, November 28, 2022 will be donated to the Caring Closet. Please have your student(s) check the Lost & Found for any lost items. If you, the parent, would like to come look at the Lost & Found, you will need to do so after school hours between 2:35PM and 3:30PM.


When you are here for your family conferences on November 21 or 22, please take a look at the Lost & Found and claim any items that are yours. We will place the Lost & Found items in front of the large school calendar in the main entry hallway.

PICTURE RETAKE DAY

Mark your calendars...Picture retake day is on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. If your student was absent on Picture Day or you would like their picture retaken once you receive their pictures from Picture Day, your student will be able to have their picture taken on November 29, 2022. See attached flyer for details on how to order.
