8th Grade Update
September 28, 2018
Dear 8th Grade Families,
Happy Friday and... congratulations! As of today, every single one of our 8th graders is officially registered for the HSPT! :) Now it's time to turn all of our attention to preparing for test day. Be sure to check out the pro tips below to maximize your preparedness.
A letter has been sent home today about our upcoming trip to Calleva! Parents, please take time this weekend to follow the step-by-step instructions to sign the electronic waiver. I've included a copy of the letter below.
It's officially Hispanic Heritage Month which means it's time to celebrate the vibrant culture of Sacred Heart School! In school we'll be exploring and honoring Hispanic heritage throughout our classrooms, and I challenge you to keep your investigating going at home. One website I've been exploring is that of the Smithsonian Latino Center. From interactive museum tours to a chance to build your own Day of the Dead altar, the SLC has it all! I recommend checking out this super unique exhibition coming to the Hirshhorn in November. And don't forget: this Tuesday, October 2nd we will be hosting our annual HHM assembly. All are welcome to attend!
On Wednesday, October 3rd we will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis with a very special Mass. Have a furry friend at home in need of a little extra blessing? We've got you covered. If you're planning on bringing a pet, we just ask that a parent comes to and that your animal is on a leash or in a carrier.
Have a blessed weekend!
Love,
Ms. K
