MESSAGE TO 5TH GRADE PARENTS
It is time to start thinking about junior high school for your 5th grade student. Please log onto the Chico Unified District website at www.chicousd.org. Type in "school locator" on the search bar. Follow the prompts. From the locater page, type in your home address and hit enter. From the dialogue box, click #2. Your schools of residence will then appear on the left side of the screen. If you wish for your student to attend a junior high not listed in the column, you must complete a Form 10. Form 10s will be available on the CUSD website starting December 2nd and must be completed by January 23rd to make our lottery. Please make sure you choose the correct school year, 2020-21. Thank you.
SPIRIT WEAR ORDER
Order forms are going home Monday, November 18th or you can always stop in the office to pick one up. Please return all orders along with a check made payable to Marigold PTA to your teacher or the main office by Friday, December 6th.

Hello Marigold Families,
We have opened our 2019-20 Marigold Yearbook online sales! Please click the link (or copy and paste it in your web browser) to order your child's yearbook today! Don't miss out on memories your child can cherish forever.
Once you get to the Yearbook Order Center, click on "buy a yearbook" and add however many yearbooks you want to your order. You can purchase more than one yearbook at a time for different children, just click on "buy this item for a student" and search for your child for each yearbook. Then follow the checkout procedures. Feel free to email the yearbook staff below with any questions.

OPTIONAL SCHOOL TOUR FOR PARENTS OF INCOMING KINDERS
Tuesday, December 10th, 9:00 - 9:30 AM
Please come to the main office to sign in prior to the tour.
BE SAFE - BE RESPECTFUL - BE RESPONSIBLE
*Be safe and courteous in the parking lot. Drive slowly and stop at crosswalks.
*Do not park in handicapped spaces without proper tags.
*Do not leave cars unattended in fire zone.
*Always sign in and out at the office when visiting and wear your visitor sticker at all times on campus.
HOLIDAY LETTER TO PARENTS
COLD AND FLU SEASON
A child shall be excluded from attendance at school when they exhibit one or more of the following signs of communicable disease:
*Temperature at or above 100 degrees F. Fever must be gone for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol or other NSAID before child can return to school.
*Symptoms of abdominal discomfort, vomiting, diarrhea, pain, distention or excessive gas.
*Upper respiratory symptoms, coughing, difficulty breathing, extreme sore throat, green discharge from the nose.
*The child is suspected or known to have an infectious disease with high communicable potential.
*See below chart for additional symptoms
This procedure has been adopted for the safety and well-being of your child, classmates and all staff members. The student can be re-admitted to school with either a doctor's note or when they are well and 24 hours symptom free (fever free).
