Cocaine is a powerfully addictive stimulant made from the leaves of the cocoa plant. Crack cocaine, a crystallized form of cocaine, was developed during the cocaine boom of the 1970s and its use spread in the mid-1980s.

Dangers of use

  • can cause death: if laced with other drugs or alcohol, overdosing
  • its highly addictive because the high is so strong and lasts so quick you are left with the strong urge to take more
  • its illegal
