UGA Social Work students, this is an opportunity for you to have your resume reviewed virtually by a member of the UGA Career Center staff!
You will need to have your resume uploaded as a PDF when you register for this event. When you enter the event, you may enter any of the available booths to virtually connect with a Career Center staff member to have your resume reviewed. Reviews will occur via text, and you will have 15 minutes to go over your resume. Try to have any specific questions about your resume prepared to make the best use of time.
**If you are experiencing a long wait, you can enter both booths at once and click that you're ready to begin chatting to decrease your wait time.
A transcript of your conversations will be saved for you to access after each event, so you can look back at your chat history and review your notes.

School Support Member - AmeriCorps
Position Description: Global Village Project is a private, nonprofit, tuition-free middle school for refugee girls aged 11-18. GVP's mission is to develop a strong educational foundation for each student within a caring community using a strengths-based approach and intensive instruction in English language and literacy, academic subjects, and the arts. Our vision is to ensure that all refugee girls with interrupted schooling have access to the education necessary to pursue their dreams.
Two AmeriCorps members will complete an 11-month service at GVP to support refugee students by offering individualized direct and indirect service through education, literacy, and academic support in core programs, including study hall, STEAM, literacy, and summer academic programming. Members serve one-half of their time in tutoring, literacy, and STEAM programs and one-half of their time delivering core program services in academic and administrative departments.

Affordable Housing Administrative Internship
Position Description: Athens Land Trust affordable Housing Program serves the residents of Athens-Clarke County by providing affordable housing options for low-income residents, homebuyer education opportunities and neighborhood revitalization in the local area. Candidates would ideally be pursuing a degree in a related field such as business, non-profit management, housing & consumer economics, social work etc. Preference will be given to those who are interested in affordable housing. Program Assistant
Position Description: Eagle Ranch is in need of a recent college graduate to work as a Program Assistant in our boys’ program. As a Program Assistant, you will assist the Eagle Ranch program and partner with a home’s Houseparent Couple to provide care for up to seven boys. Program Assistants help create a safe, stable environment where these young men can work on their issues and practice new behaviors.

Arch Ready: Professionalism on the Job
Time: 4-5 PM
Location: MLC, Rm. 150
Students will learn how to create an appropriate work wardrobe on a "college budget." Students will also learn how to succeed in the workplace including meeting etiquette, the use of social media, and how to navigate work social interactions such as happy hours and business travel. Additionally, students will explore ways to successfully navigate generational work differences and styles.
