AA #1534-Ethics and Decision Making for Educators

Ethics and Decision Making for Educators

This workshop examines the role of educational leaders (administrators and teachers) as they determine their values in making decisions and as they analyze their own decision-making mechanisms. Through the use of multi-media instruction, group discussions, and current case studies which illustrate ethical dilemmas, workshop participants will be able to: Increase awareness of: 1) professional codes of ethics, 2) the types and frequency of ethical and moral decisions educators face, regardless of role, and 3) the potentially marginalizing policies or practices that may be embedded in the educational system.
