Introduction
Pollution is the introduction of a contaminant into the environment. It is created mostly by human actions, but can also be a result of natural disasters. Pollution is a harmful effect on any living organism in an environment, making it virtually impossible to sustain life.
Whats the problem?
Pollution harms the earth and all its environments, it also harms its inhabitants in many ways. The three types of pollution are:
Land Pollution-
which is pollution of the Earth's natural surface by commercial, industrial, domestic and agricultural activities.
What are a few sources of land pollution?
- Littering
- Mining
- Oil and antifreeze leaking from cars
- Overcrowded landfills
- Industrial factories
Air Pollution-
is the accumulation of hazardous substances into the atmosphere that danger any living species.
Types of air pollution?
- Smoking/ Tobacco
- Automobiles
- Power plants
- Nuclear weapons
- Wildfires
Water Pollution-
introduction of chemical, biological and physical matter into large bodies of water that abuse the quality of life that lives in it and consumes it.

Addressing the Problem
There are many ways to prevent and stop air pollution. One way to make a dramatic difference in preventing air pollution is to limit ourselves in automobiles and other fossil fuel burning objects. Walking and biking to short distance places will quickly make an impact on the air pollution situation. This will prevent fossil fuels from pollution the air. Here are some other ways to prevent air pollution.
- Don't smoke
- Keep car maintenance up to date
- Carpool
- Keep up with replacing the cars air filters
- Try to purchase less aerosol spray can products such as cleaning supplies, bug spray.. ect.
