PARCC testing

Most 3rd and 4th students have completed PARCC testing at the elementary school! We are so proud of their effort! Thank you for your support of our students during these tests! Some students may continue make up testing for PARCC next week.

Autism Awareness Week - - - April 18-21, 2017

Big Hollow Primary and Elementary Schools will be learning about Autism Awareness during the month of April. Students will be doing a variety of activities in their classes and in the library this week. We will also celebrate with some themed days. Join the fun!

TUESDAY, APRIL 18th: Wear BLUE to show your support for Autism Awareness!

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19th: Be Uniquely You!

Students will follow the school dress code, and wear items of clothing that make them unique. (ex. If on a baseball team wear the jersey; member of a club t-shirt; heritage etc.)

THURSDAY, APRIL 20th: Support a Cause!

Wear an item, or article of clothing to show your support for another cause you are passionate about!

FRIDAY, APRIL 21st: Show Pride in Yourself!

Be proud of who you are, and let’s all come together by showing our pride! Wear Big Hollow Pride Wear!

EVERY KID HEALTHY WEEK - - - APRIL 24 – 28, 2017

We will be celebrating Every Kid Healthy Week with a variety of fun activities. Watch the newsletter, website, and social media for more information!

We will be having a non-perishable/canned food drive during the week, so start stocking up to help fill the shelves at the Grant Township Food Pantry!

Third Grade Science Basket Raffle

Exciting News!!! Third grade is having a Science Basket Raffle. There are

two baskets available that are full of science fun! This is sure to keep your

child entertained for hours over the summer. For more information about items in the baskets - check out the list in the virtual backpack. To enter, please fill out the

raffle tickets found in the virtual backpack, cut them apart, and return to your child’s

teacher with the exact amount due or a check made payable to Big Hollow. Tickets are due by April 27th. The winner will be drawn on April 28th during announcements.

2017-18 Kindergarten

If you were unable to attend the Kindergarten Parent Info Night, please check out the presentation available on the Big Hollow Website. Please call to set up an appointment for kindergarten screening - 847-740-5320. Help us spread the word to neighbors and friends in the Big Hollow School District.
