Patterson Families,
Dear Patterson Families,
As the second trimester is well under way, I would like to remind parents about the importance of attendance and getting your students to school on time.
Our first bell rings at 8:40 and students are allowed to enter the building to get breakfast, go to their classrooms and complete their morning work. The second bell that rings at 8:55 signals the beginning of whole group instruction time. All students should be in their classrooms and finishing breakfast by this time. Students that arrive close to the bell or after the bell are at risk of missing this important time. Please strive to get your child to school with enough time to get breakfast and get to class before the final bell at 8:55.
In addition, as we strive for independence in even our youngest students, please say your goodbyes in the lobby and allow them to head to class or breakfast on their own.
Thank you for being our partners in education.

Annual Snowball Contest
"Our annual snowball contest kicked off of this week!
The three classrooms earning the most snowballs will earn a special prize or treat from TEAM Patterson. Your child's classroom can earn one "snowball" by sending in Box Tops for Education, Tyson labels or Aunt Millie's School Spirit labels in pre-counted bundles of 25!
*NEW THIS YEAR* Your child's grade can earn an extra 25 snowballs per classroom by gaining the most Shoparoo points for the month of February and for the month of March!
Contact Melissa Murphy (Melissa.murphy3@ascension.org) if you have questions or would like to volunteer to help count labels or dole out snowballs for display outside of the classrooms!"

Summer Camp Open Houses run from 2pm to 5pm
Contact Brandon Dreffs @brandond@flintymca.org or call 810-629-9622 for more information.
Lunch Fund
It all began with a generous, anonymous donation from someone wanting to help families that have a negative lunch balance and are unable to pay it off.
Ms. Sam in the kitchen keeps tabs on the student's lunch balances and lets us know when she sees a need.
If you would like to contribute to to Patterson's Lunch Fund just contact the office.
Thank You!
As a reminder, after your child has loaded please stay in the right lane all the way to the front of the line. It is easier to merge left from the front of the line. Please do not try to cut left as soon as your child has loaded. A little bit of patience helps the process run smoother.

The Holly snowboard/ski club will sponsor a club night every Tuesday, weather permitting. Students will need to be transported to and from Mt. Holly. On Tuesday nights, the lift tickets and rentals will be sold in the ticket lobby by the sponsor (Crystal Gill). The sponsor will be there from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Parents are strongly encouraged to stay at Mt. Holly the entire time their child is snowboarding/skiing because thre are no chaperones to monitor the children.
