PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
How are you doing? What's the most challenging part of your school day? What do you LOVE about your school day?
Here are some tips that might help you get through your school day:
1. Reduce distractions - look for a quiet place to do your school work
2. Take advantage of our built in brain breaks - these are important so you can recharge!
3. Manage your time - use your phone to schedule your classes so you don't miss one by accident.
4. Reach out to your teacher - RMMS teachers are AWESOME and here to help you!
Finally - we are so used to seeing your fabulous faces. It really makes a difference for a teacher to "see" you... even if it's on a screen. Imagine how hard it is for your teacher to see 30 black squares on their zoom screen? It's tough. Our teachers feed off of your facial expressions, your smiles, the way your eyes light up when you get a new skill... it does matter. So, if you can, even for just a few minutes, share your video with your teacher, it would mean a lot.
Have an awesome weekend and we will see you on Monday starting at 9:30 am!
Ms. DeSanto
Here are some important reminders...
You MUST attend your classes every day! If you have tech issues, email your teacher directly. If you miss class, we will be calling your parents. Here's our VIRTUAL SCHOOL SCHEDULE. Be on TIME! Attendance matters! Set alarms on your phone to remind you of your schedule since we aren't on campus.
You WILL be receiving grades. Yes, grades - A, B, C, etc. Your work is going to be graded. You will receive a report card. Take school seriously. This is very different than what we did in the Spring. There is no Pass/Fail. We expect you to complete your work and do your best every day!
On Zoom or Google Meet, you are expected to use your FIRST AND LAST NAME. This is how we take attendance. You are not permitted to change your name. If you chose to change your name, you may get marked absent because we won't let you into our virtual classroom. Do the right thing... use YOUR name!
If you are having challenges getting into your live classes, please email your teacher directly. They will be able to help you get to your classwork.
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!
The counseling team is ready to help you! Going into our 3rd week of school, you might be having some struggles with school. Don't wait to ask for help. Ask now! We are here to help you! Remember, our job is to make your job as a scholar as smooth as possible.
If you need to contact us, please see our information below or fill out the virtual counseling request form Virtual Counseling Request Form.
