St Bernadette's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 2 | 10 February 2023

Message from Geordie
Dear Bernie’s families,
I am going to keep this brief as there are notes from my Parent Info Night Speech on Tuesday evening below. We have had a really nice week at school and it has been great to see our teachers getting into their routines so quickly. Our rooms have been fun and engaging with lots of laughs and learning. I would also like to thank all the parents who have sent in messages of support and love for Mrs Poasa this week. I spent some time with Nila and her family and she has been blown away and very thankful for the outpouring of support. We have such an amazing, close community! I will continue to update everyone in line with the families wishes.
I have been out on duty each morning this week and I just wanted to ask all parents to make sure that when students are riding, scooting, roller skating or skateboarding to school, they are wearing a helmet. I have seen a few students on the streets around our school without a helmet and I hope you all understand how important this is in keeping our students safe! If I see students coming to school without one, I will need to call parents to pick them up as I can’t let them leave school without one.

As I said last week, please click the link below to provide us with some feedback (positive and constructive) on communication and start to the term. We would love to know what has gone well and how we might improve.
I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you all at the Picnic on the Green event next Friday afternoon.
