About the progressive movement:

After the civil war, there was a rise in the number of factories in the united states, with new technology to help fuel the industrial revolution. The progressive movement was only a sub branch of the Industrial revolution in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many of the factory owners abused the workers with this policies like low wages long hours and child labor. the progressive movement was when the workers started to strike and the rise of labor unions came about in history.
