Class Placement Information

Dear Parents,

Later this summer, Buckingham Parents and Students will again be accessing Class Placement information via the Central Bucks Parent Portal for all Kindergarten through 6th Grades. The teacher assignment information for all students will be available Monday, July 20, 2015. (If you already have a Parent Portal Account, no further action is required.)

If you have never used Parent Portal, you can create an account by going to the Parents/Students tab at the top of the Central Bucks School District website (http://cbsd.org). Click "Parent Portal" link and follow the directions to obtaining your Parent Portal Account.

Please activate your account as soon as possible as there may be a delay from IT staff for such requests. Congratulations to our Buckingham Mighty Knight 6th Grade class - who were honored at the School's annual Promotion Event - Thursday, June 11, 2015. The evening featured the 6th Grade Chorus and student speakers from our D.A.R.E. Program. Thanks to all who helped coordinate the event, including Officer Steve Thomas (Buckingham Police) and Mr. Shillingford (Principal of Holicong). On behalf of all the families and students, much appreciation to the 5th Grade Homeroom Committee for organizing a reception and Mrs. Lisa Breen for the 6th Grade Video!

Harlem Wizards Basketball - Dazzles and Dunks!

A wonderful time was had by all in attendance, at the sidelines or on the court! The Harlem Wizards dazzled and dunked all over the Mighty Knight squad - but it was all about the FUN! Thanks to everyone who showed their support and hopefully enjoyed themselves at the game. Please be sure to click here to see even more great photos of the event - shared by Mr. Nace!

Principal for the Day

Buckingham had a guest Principal for the day when Miss Devon Sutton spent her day as the school leader - following her Fall Fest Raffle Prize Drawing! Miss Sutton made many "popular" decisions including: Open Seating and Music at Lunch & No Homework! Miss Sutton worked alongside Mr. Funseth throughout the day shadowing him through the various administrative roles during a "day as the Principal" - Great work, Miss Sutton!

Buckingham's Spring Concert

Buckingham Elementary Showcased our Performing Arts Music Program on June 4th, 2015 - with a wonderful set of songs played by our 4th, 5th and 6th grade students! Our evening featured 4th Grade Orchestra, 5th & 6th Grade Orchestra, 5th & 6th Grade Band and 5th & 6th Grade Chorus. Everyone was amazed by their talent and passion for making great music! Thanks to Miss Ripp, Mr. Branchfield and Mr. Weir for directing the night!

Buckingham Events in June!

Young Author's Series - Chris Grabenstein

Mr. Grabenstein's visit to Buckingham on Wednesday, June 3rd was GREAT! He spent some time with our Island of Dr. Libris book club answering questions about the book! His early stand-up comedian and improv days were evident during his hilarious and engaging assembly for our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. They were giggling and smiling throughout his presentation while they created stories together and listened to him read an excerpt from Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library equipped with many silly voices. It was also great to hear how he used many of the same writing strategies that our teachers encourage during the writing process! Thanks, Mr. Chris Grabenstein! - See more HERE!

Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast

A special day was designated paying tribute to our Buckingham Bus Drivers - with an "Appreciation Breakfast" on June 9, 2015. Families contributed delicious dishes and students made "thank you" cards honoring the drivers who get them to and from school safely everyday! Thank you Bus Drivers!
