Pre K weekly Update
What have we been up to ......
Oceans and Old O
Our Pre K students have been learning and exploring with Oceans. We learned ocean and fish facts from Brainpop Jr., Library books and books from Mrs. Scallan. We reviewed landforms and map skills. We colored and cut out our own fish. We wrote numbers stories to go with. We drew and painted fish too. We met our letter buddy Old O. We practiced on our own, in our letter buddy journals, and in our phonics books. We continue to read in reading groups and at circle time. Sight words are now up on our website too. We continue to practice reading number sentences, recognizing numbers 1-40, and practicing simple addition in math. We reviewed all lifecycles in science. We acted out the frog and butterfly lifecycles. We wrote addition sentences to go with butterfly drawings. We wrote our own frog fact sentences. We hung them in the hallway for ALL to see. We celebrated Earth Day with stories and pea plantings in the garden. We took a field trip today to Upper Darby to see Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day. We had fun and behaved too. We put on a SPECTACULAR “Silly Song” show for our school concert. A very special Thank you to parents, Ms. Moser, Mrs. Roupe, Mrs. Seltzer, and Mrs. Scallan, for your hard work and help. GREAT JOB to ALL PRE K students for an AWESOME performance. HOORAY for SCHOOL!!!!!
