HR deadline on Saturday!!!
Everyone must complete!!! As we prepare for the upcoming year, we are requesting that you indicate your interest in returning to Cabarrus County Schools next year, or notify us if you plan to retire or resign. This is also your opportunity to indicate a school preference for involuntary transfers if your school and your position are impacted by allotment changes. You may also use this opportunity to request a voluntary transfer for other reasons. Your preferences will be considered as we plan for next year. This window is open December 18, 2015 through January 31, 2016. Please see email from Glenda Jones dated 12/18 for additional information. Please remember to speak to me directly if you are putting your name on the transfer list.
Next Benchmark/Mock EOGs and NCFEs
As mentioned in the last MM, for our next set of benchmarks, we will run a mock EOG schedule. That means that students will take the test in homerooms, all pull out groups will be a-go, and ALL certified staff will be utilized for testing. We want our students to understand the importance of benchmarks and preparing for the EOGs. As of now, we will be doing the science mock NCFE/PLC created benchmark/8th DE benchmark on February 24; Social Studies mock NCFE/PLC created benchmark on February 25; ELA6 and Math 7-8 DE Benchmarks on March 1; LA7-8 and Math 6 DE Benchmarks on March 2, and Math 1 will take their benchmarks in their regular math 1 classes. All hands on deck!
Also, after these next benchmarks, we will print individual student reports from DE to send home to parents so they can understand where their kids stand as we work hard for our final state tests. More directions will follow, obviously, but wanted you to be aware now.
