Peek At The Week
January 14, 2019
Team,
New Year=New Beginning. Who doesn't like the feeling of having a fresh start, redo and opportunity to improve? Whether it be in your personal or professional life chose now to push the RESET or REFRESH button. Excellent job on the 1/2 Day Reset Monday! Now we all are communicating the same way. Believe it or not, our students desperately need this to focus and learn. Let's review what we RESET!
Class Attention Getter: Give Me Five!
Getting Teacher Attention: Raise your Hand
Hallway Behavior Lesson: Voices between 0-2, Hands and Feet to Yourself, Walk on the Right
Following Instructions: 1st Time Asked
Line Procedures for Transporting Entire Class Expectations: Same as above, except split your line and walk in pairs.
Accepting Criticism: It's not a personal attack!
Accepting “No” for an Answer and Disagreeing Appropriately
Greeting Others: Look at the person when you speak to them.
Social Skillz, YO!
Restroom Behavior: Go, Flush, Wash and Leave! Sign out.
9 Minutes- 4 minutes passing, 5 minutes inside the classroom to get ready, warm-up, etc. EVERY CLASS, EVERY DAY.
First 20 Minutes of Class- No one leaves the classroom for the first 20 minutes or until the Independent Practice phase of the lesson.
These are campus expectations that need to be followed. Mrs. Stanley and myself will be looking at other topics and determine which ones we would like to bring to you in PLC's.
This week we will have Data Talks regarding CBA 2 and 'threshold jumpers'. A threshold jumper is a student that moves from one color category (see WAR ROOM) to another. Be prepared to discuss those who have fallen from blue and green. For the new accountability system, we can have NO ONE move backwards. We need to be focused in the Tier 1 instruction in the classroom to meet the needs of all students. Be on the lookout for your date and time to meet with me! Bring your data and be sure your data from CBA 1 is uploaded into Eduphoria. This is an expectation and a TTESS Dimension 4.
SST meetings will happen this week. You must have entered the student name into the platform RtI prior to Wednesday's grade level discussion or they will not be addressed. Thank you in advance!
Thanks for all you do!
Teach Happy!
