Our Day to Shine .. WHS vs. AHS Scrimmage
Come out and see our Wylie Bulldog football team scrimmage against the Abilene High Eagles this Friday, August 20th at Hugh Sandifer Stadium. The scrimmage starts at 4:30 pm and this year we are joining in with Abilene High to participate in the "Our Day to Shine" fundraiser for the Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation. The money raised goes to the THSCEF Benevolence fund that was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors to assist athletes and coaches experiencing hardships. To date over 1,165 schools have participated in "Our Day to Shine" and have raised over $721,000. The THSCEF has paid over $641,000 to athletes and coaches in need.
There will be a $1.00 Admission/Donation at the gate. You can also Venmo. See information on the flyer.

Have you caught someone being a Bulldog?
Have you caught a student or a WHS staff member "Being a Bulldog"? We want to hear about it!
What is being a Bulldog? The American Kennel Club describes a Bulldog as kind but courageous, full of tenacity, friendly, and loyal companions. It is fitting that we are the Wylie Bulldogs because those are the qualities we strive for our campus to exude.
We believe that it is important to recognize those that are examples of kindness, friendliness, loyalty, and courage. Students and staff members can be nominated by students, staff, and community members. It is the hope of WHS that Bulldogs will inspire other Bulldogs to continue to show these characteristics. Nominate someone here!
