Distance Learning at Paynesville Area Schools, Take One
Words cannot begin to express the mixed emotions in our classrooms, hallways and across our campuses with recent COVID-19 events. From the bottom of my heart, please accept my most sincere appreciation for your support and partnership through this unprecedented time of change. Our plan is to continue working together to ensure success for each individual learner, and now more than ever we need your helping hands to do so. Please know that our goal is first and foremost to meet the emotional needs of our students. Next week begins a new learning curve for all of us, and your feedback will be integral in providing appropriate supports- emotional, academic, technological, etc.- wherever needed. We strive to continue the amazing progress our children have had during the first three quarters of our school year throughout our last quarter together. That said, a few notes:
- Please visit with your child’s teachers regarding expectations during Distance Learning. By this time, I am hoping each of you has already had an opportunity to do so. We would like to keep lines of communication open!
- You are encouraged to access SeeSaw, FlipGrid or Google Classroom to connect with your student's teacher. Please contact Connect.isd741.org. or call 320-243-4058 with technology issues.
- We have a new P.A.E.S. Parent Hub, a 'one stop shop' of sorts for you to access everything you need for your student. Please click the shortcuts on THIS PAGE to access grade levels and mental health resources.
- Parents, along with teachers and students, are asked to remember that distance learning days are designed to be flexible: if a child struggles with a concept or assignment and is unable to complete the work that day, please communicate with teachers about how to meet requirements as soon as possible.
- Please contact teachers directly with any questions, concerns, frustrations or celebrations regarding Distance Learning assignments. We are all in this together and would like to continue to grow as Bulldog learners!
As always, please contact us with questions, concerns or comments. WE ARE NOT GIVING UP!! We are here for you! :) Thank you! Go Bulldogs!!

Please request a 2020-2021 Classroom Placement Form via Katie in our front office and one will be emailed to you. The form is due in the office no later than Friday, April 24. Please note that while we will do our best to accommodate parent requests, specific teacher request cannot always be honored. Please see Mrs. Holmberg with questions or concerns. Thank you!

Typically school “Grandma’s” and “Grandpa’s” work one-on-one with kids who need some extra support both academically and emotionally.Foster Grandparents have the ability to use their time, skills and experience to help children learn. Volunteers put in a minimum of 260 hours a year and receive a tax free stipend, mileage reimbursement, and educational opportunities.
