Hello Parents and Families,
Thank you for coming to Back to School Night last week. We loved meeting our ELA and EMS parents and seeing you in your students' classrooms. Parent and family support is the most important factor in academic success for our students and we always welcome your feedback, input, and support.

CULTURE AND CLIMATE: Providing a nurturing learning environment
For this week's focus, I wanted to pass along a policy for our students who "ride" into school. We have a bike rack in the front of our building that many students use for locking up their bikes. Inside our building, we have skateboard racks that students can use as well. For the safety of students, we cannot have skateboards carried from class to class. We have skateboard padlocks available for students to borrow if needed.

As we are continuing to focus on the work of our first and second 90-Day Plans in EMS, our teachers are engaging in high leverage work by using student data from classroom assessments to guide the next steps in learning. Our dedicated teachers are also dedicated learners.
Englewood Leadership Academy will begin their first 90-Day Plan this school year.
