Preschool Newsletter!
Miss Amy and Miss Courtney's Classroom
This week...
This week we did many crafts and activities. We read a story called "Goodnight Robot" and then allowed the kids some freedom to make a robot however they wished! They had to glue a large square in the middle of their paper and then they were free to add other shapes in order to create their robot. At the end they had to dictate to us what their robot was doing, it's name etc... we love hearing your children's ideas! They are all so creative and funny! We also made ice cream cones out of circles and triangles. Everyone worked on filling the entire space of the paper and we worked on identifying the top, middle and bottom of the paper. We had fun reading "Pete's Big Lunch." Pete makes a HUGE sandwich and has to share it with his friends. This led to us discussing if we like certain foods, and we even got create our own gigantic sandwich using different shapes to represent the food.
This week we played together a lot on the playground and outside on our lawn. Everyone is forming friendships and thinking outside of the box to play games independently outside. We are having so much fun together in preschool.
