ACT Updates for Juniors & Families
Thank you for supporting your child as they participated in this important assessment. In an effort to better prepare for next year’s exam, please have them complete this survey asking about their experience preparing for and taking the ACT. Students' names who took the exam and completed the survey will be entered into a drawing for prizes!
Moving forward, these scores will be released gradually to students through the ACT portal. Students can check for their scores here.
Pre ACT Secure Testing Info (4/18)
On April 18th, all 9th and 10th grade students will take the preACT Secure, and 10th grade students will also take the Forward exam. Updates from the Counseling Office
All Juniors should've watched this presentation on Academic and Career planning to jumpstart the exploration process of their plans for post High School earlier this month. As a follow up, the Counseling Office and College and Career Center are partnering to offer some great workshops throughout April and May to further that exploration. All Juniors are expected to attend at least one workshop, but can attend multiple. Please encourage your student to look over the upcoming workshops and plan to sign up in Flexi. As always, students are welcome to connect with their counselor if they have questions or need support in this process.
Summer School Reminder:
Don’t forget to take advantage of Summer School opportunities the district has to offer! Register through Family Access.Updates from the College & Career Center
Semester 2 Exam Schedule
All students participate in a semester exam or final project. These exams or projects will account for 10 percent of the student's semester grade.
The high school administrative team has spent time working with students and staff to refine the semester exam schedule that is intended to help our students perform their best. Our efforts included closely examining feedback from families, students, and staff on our 2022-2023 first semester exam schedule. Based on information and this feedback, we have made the following updates to the exam schedule for this current semester:
Provide two separate lunches at different times each day
Decrease the number of exams on Day 1
Increase the time between exams
Improve the Student Study/Enrichment Sign Up (we will use an alternative sign up tool this semester)
Please review the exam schedule for June 2023 and let teachers or administrators know if you have any questions. We will make sure to clarify any questions as we approach the end of the second semester. Thank you for all your feedback.
Attendance Expectations
All students are expected to attend each assessment/project period on their current schedule.
If you do not have a class during that period (i.e. study hall or off hour due to work-based learning, etc.) you will be assigned to one of the following areas to study unless you have an early release or late arrival pass or have reported your absence to the attendance office:

Busing
All buses will arrive and depart at their regularly scheduled times on June 5 - 8th, 2023.
Lunch Service
Students are able to utilize their lunch accounts to purchase lunches. They may also choose to eat their lunch (purchased or from home) in the cafeteria, which will be open as shown on the schedule.
