FREE - NOVA SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM
This summer NOVA SySTEMic will be hosting multiple 2-week Bridge Programs for current high school juniors and seniors. These programs are FREE to students! The purpose of the bridge programs is to introduce students to NOVA faculty & campuses, engage in interactive activities, and create pathways into Computer Science, Information Technology, and Engineering Technology careers. All three specialties will have a bridge program June 21st-30th this summer and Info. Tech. will have a second program August 1st-11th. Application Deadline April 17, 2022. Students will be eligible to earn college credit through these programs as well. Global Inheritance - Leading Ladies
The Leading Ladies Initiative provides qualified, selected participants with a STEM internship opportunity through a week work-based learning program to prepare them as leaders, for the college application process and for effective participation in the STEM workforce.
The work-based learning program will take place between June 17 - July 1, 2022 and includes an internship opportunity at a local business on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. Leadership Development days are held on Tuesday's and Thursday's where STEM focused sectors will host the Leading Ladies cohort for a site specific tailored to their industry. The girls have the opportunity to tour facilities, learn from business leaders, and understand how what and why they are learning in the classroom applies to the work-place and the STEM field as a whole.
