Notes from Dr. Valadez

With the first six weeks behind us, deeply analyzing where each of your students is regarding their mastery of the instruction that just took place is a critical next action step. Ensure all teachers critically profile each student and design interventions that are specifically targeted to their areas of need.

Several of you have asked about what instructional materials are out there for science teachers. The district adopted the HMH materials and will be providing "Just in TIme" trainings for our CICs. However, the district did not purchase the science lab kits that support the HMH textbooks. You can find the HMH lab kits below along with a comparison chart. The comparison chart provides a list of the resources that the district adopted. The campus can purchase other science resources, but be advised that district support will not be provided.
