After arriving in Venus in on April 2006 the Venus express had found out that Venus had been volcanically active for the past 3 million years and may still be active. The Venus express has made maps of the surface of Venus. The Venus express has found water molecules and the Venus express has also found concrete evidence for lightning in Venuses atmosphere.
They used a radio to keep in touch with the space vehicle.
The Venus express has taught us that there is evidence for lightning and there might be active volcanos on Venus.
