Chapman Update

Good Evening Chapman Families!

Can you believe that there was snow this weekend? I was on the west side of the state for soccer and visited Holland Saturday evening with my sister. Tulip festival is next weekend. We have some awesome pictures of huge snowflakes falling on tulips in full bloom AND my children went sledding Saturday night! Looks like the weather is starting to get warmer. We want to have the students outside as much as possible and if muddy conditions, we have students stay on the blacktop and wood chips... however, some mishaps still happen. Please make sure that students have an extra change of clothes in their backpacks.

If you are a current third grade parent, there is a possible option for looping next school year from 4th to 5th grade. Please make sure your teacher knows if you think your student would be a good fit for this type of classroom. I am an extending the deadline for third grade parents only on the Student Placement Questionnaire which is attached below. Please make sure that it is turned in by Wednesday, May 1st by the end of the day. Thank you!

The Memorial Day Parade is on May 27th. Bike Decorating, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, will take place at 9 AM at Chapman and the parade begins at 10 AM. Flyer is attached below with more information.

Field Day will be June 5th- This will also be the Senior Walk Event. We are so excited for both of these end of the year activities!

April and May Lunch Menus are attached below!

Carpool: Please be patient and pull as far forward as possible in the carpool line. BOTH doors are open for students to enter the building. Please remember for your safety and the safety of the students to please only get out on the curb side of the car. If you have to get out of the car for any reason please park in the parking lot to do so. Please stay in line in carpool and do not cut around. This is for the safety of the families that are crossing the carpool lane. I appreciate all the great work and how smoothly the morning drop off procedures are going! Well done!
