One topic of conversation was the implementation of a summer program this year. For the first time in several years, we will be offering summer care. In order to offer a high-quality experience, and while we get our feet wet, we will limit enrollment to 20 children per week. Enrollment forms will be sent home in mid-to-late February, with more information. Spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. In the meantime, if you have questions, please let us know!
We'd love to hear from you, too, as to what you look for and need in a summer program. Please send thoughts and ideas to Jessica - jhayes@fsmontessori.com.
Volunteers Needed
Valentine's Day (Thursday, February 11) is the party of the year and the children look forward to it. This year, classroom parties will be held from 9:30a - 11:00a (Primary) and 1:00p - 2:30p (Elementary). Parties are planned and implemented by parent volunteers with input from the classroom teachers. If you can help, please contact the school office or your child's teachers.
Book Fair (February 8-12) - The book fair is one of the most popular activities each year. 50% of the cost of each book sold comes back to the school for resource materials, reading materials, or other resources. Last year we sold more than $4,000 worth of books! Volunteers are needed to set-up/take down the fair and also to "sell" books. We are in need of someone to coordinate volunteers, too. Please contact the school office if you can help.
