URS Tier 2 Presentation
If you are in your first year with the Utah Retirement Service (URS), and would like help with deciding which plan would be best, you won’t want to miss this presentation. A representative from URS will be at the district office doing a presentation for those new hires that are within their 1 year of service credit. Please join us on Tuesday, March 29th at 4:00 p.m. in the executive conference room.
Wellness Journey: Almost There
You only have a week left on the Great Escape Challenge – don’t forget to sync your steps. Challenge ends the 28th of February. Last day to upload step is March 1! Remember: If you sync your steps all 4 weeks you will receive an incentive. District wide challenge starts March 5: Keep track of your weekly steps and report them to your wellness manager or Cat Miner.

Nearpod Camp Engage
For: All Teachers
Nearpod is offering a free weekend workshop, Camp Engage, February 25-27. Camp Engage includes a variety of live online trainings and workshops for all Nearpod skill levels. This is a great opportunity to learn about one of our district core technology tools and how you can use it to engage students both in class and on digital learning days. Sessions range from a “Beginner’s Guide to Nearpod” to “Using Nearpod with EL” to differentiation and pro tips.
ESP of the Year Award
It’s that time of year to submit ESP of the Year Nominations. For the next 2 months, we (PESPA) will be collecting nominations for ESP of the year. If you know a secretary, custodian, technology, maintenance, transportation, paraprofessional, or child nutrition worker, that has gone above and beyond and that you think should receive this award, nominate them! Well, click no more. Instead, simply go to the address/search bar in Google Chrome and type docs.new, sheets.new, slides.new, forms.new…you get the gist. Jump right into creating your document!
February 2022 Benefits Buzz
You can make Benefits changes in Employee Navigator. When you experience a life event, do you know how to report any changes that need to be made? Provo City School District uses Employee Navigator for Open Enrollment and life event changes and then report them to the insurance carriers. If adding a life event, log into Employee Navigator, and click on the Life Events tab.
