Word of the Month: Respect

Dear Mustang Families,

Can you believe that it is already February? I know that I can't. On February 4th, we will have completed 100 days of school. I know that when we started this year none of us could imagine that we would be where we are now. Your child and our staff have worked so hard and learned so many new things this year. Thank you for all of the time and work that you have put into helping your child be a successful learner. Please remember that Wednesday's are school days and your child should be working in their specialists classrooms, on their assignments in their google classroom, and they should answer their teacher's question of the day each and every day.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Casillas

Writing Fun

As a family, you can use a sentence patterning chart to write fun descriptive sentences. Once you have a great sentence, draw a picture that matches your sentence. Below is a sample Sentence Patterning Chart and two great examples from Mrs. Vestad's class.

Acts of Kindness

McClure Elementary Kindergarten and 1st graders heard the book, Be Kind by Pat Miller. They were then challenged to do a random act of kindness. Here are some of the kind activities our kids did.

-Donated toys

-Gave cookies/brownies to neighbors

-Drew a picture for their teacher

-Put the dishes away

-Told someone they love them

-Made a video for their grandma

-Played games my brother and sister like best

-Helped fold clothes
