What's happening around STEAM?
Monday 4/9
-Spring Duty Update, if you are STAAR testing, Cook will arrange AM rover coverage Tuesday/Wednesday
-Parent & Staff Appreciation Coffee Trike AM, Buon Giorno (sponsored by STEAM MS & STEAM PTO)
-Confirmations need to be finalized for "Experience the Future" Event
-Check STAAR class room assignments, Testing rooms need all wall decor covered by 1:00PM. (Double check for recent changes)
-Chromebook Updates, campus wide at 1:15PM Video to instruct update
-ePLC, Continue using PLC doc throughout the week (meeting digitally through comments/notes) - Due to share to admin by Friday at dismissal.
Team Leads to update scoreboard & Collective Commitment Sheet by Friday at dismissal.

Reminder of Student Dress Code
DRESS CODE
We frequently perform dress code checks, please ensure that your student is always in compliance, click here for middle school dress guidelines. Send students to front office out of dress code. Please call Ms. Kim so she's aware.
On the occasion, we offer students high school dress days. In the event that we do, please follow such guidelines, click here.
Reminder of Teacher Dress Code
BISD Staff Dress Code Presentation
Slacks, Pants, Leggings, Shorts
Appropriate​: Slacks/pants similar to Dockers and other makers of cotton and
synthetic material pants; wool pants; dressy capris; leggings if
top/blouse is no more than three inches above the knee.
Inappropriate​: Jeans; shorts; exercise, yoga, or sweatpants; coveralls; any pants too
form fitting or too low rise for free movement.
Business Dress​ for formal and parent nights.
Jean Days​: Jeans for fundraisers or incentives as approved by the superintendent’s
office AND other discretionary days as designated by the
superintendent. Wear Jeans Sticker.
*Jeans must be neat and clean with no frayed edges, no holes, no
sagging. Jeans cannot be too low rise or too tight.
CLT Notes-
During PLC, all departments will spend beginning of meeting focusing on last week's commitments' success or needs of growth. Team Leads to update scoreboard in breakroom. Type all specifics of scoreboard information on Collective Commitment Data Sheet.
STEAM Middle School is the campus newsletter for parents
House Pts Competition
As of Friday REVEUR won the house points competition.
Teachers & Students in the REVEUR house may have free dress on Monday, April 9th.
REVEUR Students must pick up high school dress sticker in the cafeteria upon arrival. Students without stickers will have to change into standardized dress.

**Confirm correct 6 weeks on the card. Look for 4th Six Weeks. Next six weeks will have different color cards to quickly help for monitoring.
Our 1 Instructional Focus: Standards Alignment
Our walkthrough focus will be to see that students use of the standards-aligned rubric. If you need support, feel free to come see Mrs. Parker, Mrs. Tashman, Mrs. Irons or Mrs. Cook.

Campus Visits & Classroom Ambassadors
- Opening the door for classroom visitors and greeting them
- Ensure that visitors have a place to sit or stand
- Explaining the Learning Target and where they are in the learning
- Answer any questions that visitors have about the class
Gentle Reminders
- Monitor the hallways during transitions
- Greet your students at the door
- Take accurate attendance
- Double check Trust Cards before allowance to collab areas (Current six weeks)

Please be sure to connect with the parents of your students weekly. The newsletter is a great start but be sure to send out at least one piece of correspondence per week in addition to the grade level newsletter.
