  • Reaching today's teens
  • Children's programming that sets a course for lifelong formation
  • Accompanying individuals and families through tough times
  • Helping individuals of all ages to meet Jesus in Sacramental and daily life
  • Best practices in engaging new families (especially newly married, baptism or RCIA families)
  • Best practices in evangelizing those on the margins
  • YOUR OWN IDEAS !

Please download and fill-in the handout below. All "applications" are due by June 1, so that we can structure the day and create valuable resource files for this event!

JOIN US FOR OUR LAST E and C ZOOM: Eucharistic Devotions

All good things must come to an end! COVID brought us an excellent way to gather across our 12 counties and the ZOOM meetings we shared were invaluable. As things have opened back up and our busy ministry schedules have grown, we have found less and less participation in the Zoom calls sponsored by our office for Catechetical Leaders and other ministry professionals. Join us for our last Zoom, Thursday, April 20 at 2:00 PM. CATECHIST TRAINING ZOOMS WILL CONTINUE NEXT YEAR.

Follow the link below to come and chat about the Eucharistic Devotions that are dear to you and hear about resources you may care to use in the upcoming Parish Year of the Revival!

Catechist Formation: MAY 10

Join us virtually for either a morning or afternoon session on Best Practices in Teaching about the Holy Spirit. This session will be great for those who work with children, families, youth and Confirmation candidates. Learn about creative approaches to engaging your participants in all things Holy Spirit related!!

TIP OF THE MONTH

On page 63 of Change it Up by Lee Danesco, the author talks about EXPERIENTIAL lessons. Lee suggests: "Review your text and teaching schedule. What topics at your grade level might provide opportunities for children to EXPERIENCE the faith, instead of having it simply explained?" Studies about experiential learning show that the benefits for students include:

  • an ability to better grasp the concepts
  • an opportunity to be more creative and think critically about challenges
  • an opportunity for more reflection
  • improved attitudes toward learning

Consider the ways you might bring more experience into your lessons!

Book Recommendation: Your Confirmation Bible Companion

This newer resource, published in 2020, guides Confirmation candidates into a deeper relationship with Christ through the study of Sacred Scripture. With clear and approachable language, the book helps teens to see God's immense love for them and read the Bible in a way that speaks to them personally so that they can grow in relationship with Jesus. The book is published by Twenty-Third Publications.
