High School- Junior Achievement Virtual Career Fair!

We partnered with Junior Achievement to bring the high school students the wonderful experience of attending the Junior Achievement Virtual Career Fair. This was a great event that helped students learn about themselves, their interests, and about careers that are available in the local community. More than 50 local businesses set up virtual booths for the students to explore. The Career Fair will have extended access for all 9th-12th grade students until July 26, 2021.

STEAM Day at Arcola

STEAM (Career) Day was a huge success at Arcola, although the format of the day was a little different this year. To kick things off, students learned about digital music technology and careers in the field through an amazing, high-energy virtual presentation. Then students watched recorded videos of presenters in fields ranging from automotive technology to computer software engineering to public service. The Arcola STEAM Day committee would like to thank all of the parents and community members for volunteering their time.

Career Day at Skyview

Virtual Career Day was a great accomplishment at Skyview. The event was kicked off with keynote speaker, Field Hockey Olympian, Stefanie Fee. Presenters included parents and community members with careers in areas such as Human Resources, Financial Management, Veterinarian, and Sales. Students also had the opportunity to watch a presentation from North Montco Technical Career Center.

We thank all of the volunteers for the time they gave to the students of Skyview. Without volunteers, Career Day could not have been a success. A huge thank you to the Methacton Education Foundation for helping us connect with volunteers who so willingly gave their time for this virtual event. If you would like to volunteer for Career Day in the future, please reach out to kkulp@methacton.org.
