Mrs. Gibson's Class

Week 16: December 14-17

Holiday Gift Ideas

TCE 1st graders will have the opportunity to learn and practice skills through the use of OSMO! PTO has purchased 5 of these for the grade level and we are excited to start using them next semester. If you have never heard of it, check out the link below. We will use OSMO to help with fact fluency, spelling, creative thinking and problem solving. It is an accessory that attaches to the child’s iPad. With the use of the iPads camera, it allows students to practices skills in a more engaging way! We just thought we would pass along the suggestion to you as well! Visit www.playosmo.com for more info!

Hour of Code

We had a great time learning about coding this week. The kids were very engaged and learned so many skills throughout the week. We will continue coding next week using the Spheros as well!

Winter Parties

Our winter party will be held on Friday, December 18th from 1:45-2:45 in our classroom. A snack and craft activity are being provided by our PTO. Please let Michelle Huston know if you are interested in attending by emailing her at michelle.huston@gmail.com. You must have a current background check on file with the office in order to volunteer. Please let me know if you have any questions.
