Things You Should Know This Week
Hello Baltz Families!
There are so many things happening in the coming weeks as the school year comes to a close.
- No School on Monday 5/30 in observance of Memorial Day.
- Field Day is happening on Friday 6/3. Here is a message from Mrs. Crouthamel with some information about Field Day!
Dear Baltz Families,
Our 2022 Field Day will take place on Friday, June 3!! Our theme this year is "A Day at the Beach". Students will be outside for approximately 3 hours rotating through stations. As of now the weather should be in the mid 70's! Fingers crossed it stays this way!!
Students should dress appropriately for activity and for the weather. They will need to wear sneakers, a hat is recommended, and bring a water bottle (or 2) with their name on it. Please apply sunscreen at home before they come to school.
Parents are welcome to come observe your children. Kindergartner through third grade will be in the morning from beginning at 9:10. Fourth and fifth grade will be in the afternoon beginning around 12:30.

Special Events for Kindergarten and 5th Grade Next Week:
- 6/7 at 1 pm- Kindergarten will celebrate their End of the Year Ceremony in the Gymnasium. 3 guests per child. (Teachers are sending home tickets)
- 6/9 at 10 am- 5th Grade will be celebrating the end of the yeaer with their Move Up Ceremony. 3 Guests per child. (Teachers are sending home tickets)
Reminders:
- School Doors open at 8:45. There is no supervision outside before 8:45. Walkers should not arrive at school before 8:45. No Students should be dropped off by cars in the front circle. Car Drop off happens in the Car Line which rolls at 8:45 sharp, daily.
- Students will go outside to play during recess, as weather permits. Please send your child with weather appropriate clothing for outdoor play.
Safe Footwear- Please make sure that your child wears safe shoes to school. Shoes should be sturdy and cover your child's whole foot. No flip flops, open toed sandals, slides, clogs are allowed. More details of the dress code are listed below. Scroll way down.

Do you know which day your child has PE? Please have them wear sneakers to school on PE day.

Thursday 6/2= Day 3
Friday 6/3 = Day 4- Everyone should dress for field day! Sneakers, Hats, Bring water, Apply sunscreen at home

Covid 19- Health Screener
Every day before sending your child to school you must do the Covid-19 Screener! If your child does not pass the screener, they must stay at home until cleared by a physician or until receiving a negative Covid Test.

Information for Parent Volunteers- Field Trip Chaperones
Parents/guardians must complete the following forms in order to be a chaperone/volunteer.
· Delaware Child Protection Registry Request Form – Must be completed online at the link below. The fee is $14.00 and is paid online with a debit/credit card at the time of registration. They shall click the “New Individual Registration” box and follow the instructions. The agency ID# is 352 and the agency contact ID is 28099. This form cannot be completed on paper, it must be completed online! Once they successfully complete the form, the results will automatically be sent to our human resources office. After the transaction is complete the parent/guardian will receive a receipt that they will need to provide us with to prove that they have completed the form. https://childprotectionregistry.delaware.gov/s/login/
Any parents that may need assistance completing the form, can come to the office for help!
