Hello February!
Dear Buccaneers,
We are starting a new month: February! We have so many things to celebrate and acknowledge. First and foremost, Southwest Middle School is proud to announce that Ms. Esther Parreñas, our ASB Advisor and ASES Coordinator, has been selected as our 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year. We are so proud of Ms. Parreñas and her accomplishments.
Thank you, Ms. Parreñas, for all you do for our students, school, and community!!!!
We are also celebrating our amazing counselors. This week is National School Counselors Week. We congratulate and honor Ms. Veronica Sandoval and Ms. Rebecca Hernandez for all they do to guide, support, and care for our students at SOM. We truly appreciate the work they do!!
Finally, the word of the month for February is "compassion." Compassion motivates us to go out of our way to help others. Compassion looks like us having sensitivity and understanding for those who need our help.
May this week be full of dedication, inspiration, commitment, and compassion.
