BES Family Newsletter - November 11, 2022
Dear BES Families,
As we enter this special season of Gratitude, we didn't want to let the moment pass to say THANK YOU to everyone who contributes to the success of the students and staff at BES!
- Thank you to all of the Moms, Dads, Grandparents and other familiy members who work with our staff to help students achieve. Your support and collaboration is vital to the work your students do everyday at school.
- Thank you to our PTO and our many volunteers who work behind the scenes to encourage and provide for students and staff.
- Thank you to our community who provides things that our families need such as coats, backpacks, holiday gifts, special items and food.
- Thank you to all those that contribute in ways every day and don't want any recognition or notice. They are often "anonymous", but never unappreciated!
We want to send a very special thank you to all of the Veterans of our BES community. Without you, we wouldn't have this wonderful country.
We encourage everyone to take some time to talk with your children about gratitude and who/what they may be grateful for this season. Gratitude is a good way to make others feel appreciated, but it is also proven to make our own outlook more positive and happy. We all need that in our lives!
Thank you,
Kimm, Jason and Laura

REQUIRED TRAINING For Volunteers and Chaperones
Volunteer and Chaperone Training (REQUIRED Yearly)
Before anyone is permitted to volunteer in the school, serve as a chaperone or attend an event during school hours, they must complete the Volunteer Training and Registration. This is a county requirement and must be done by individuals each year.
Once the training and registration form is completed, the process for approval takes several days and is done at the county level.
Please consider doing the training now to avoid last minute issues. It will cover you for the rest of this school year.
Please share this information with any/all adults that may be involved at the school. We cannot make exceptions to this and we will turn individuals away who have not completed this and received approval from FCPS. This is mandatory for student and staff safety.
