Safety and Security: #1 Priority
Please make sure you are adhering to the following:
- Policy ECA directs that all classroom doors must be shut and locked while teaching class or while vacant. The policy plus the very powerful speech this summer from Michelle Gay is why all teachers including substitutes must have a key and access badge to their classroom and building. If you don’t remember Joey (Michelle’s daughter) was killed because the substitute could not lock the classroom door. If you need keys or badges please make sure to enter a work order.
- Make sure that you are always pulling a different pull station during fire drills. We have on multiple occasion this year found fire systems not activating when a station is pulled. Any fire alarm issues should have a work order placed marked emergency and safety. Also, please call Kevin Wren or Brian Vaughan to let us know.
