The Beebe School had been accepted to participate in the PBIS Academy sponsored through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The PBIS academy is an intensive PD designed to help school teams implement tiered systems of instruction and support.

This month, students learned a bit about the election process through out bulldog mascot naming contest. Grades K-8, each homeroom nominated a name for the bulldog. Those nominations were put on a voting ballot for each student to cast their choice. Ballots were counted and the mascot's name "Bruce" was was announced during our PBIS assemblies.

We held our second round of PBIS assemblies this month. Once again our students and staff were amazing. It is wonderful to see and hear our students celebrating their accomplishments and cheering on one another. Bruce the Beebe Bulldog, made an appearance at each of the assemblies demonstrating feats of athleticism and some smooth dance moves. The PTO contributed some great prizes this month and the students were so excited.

Bulldog Fridays

Bulldog Fridays have been a big hit with staff and students. Bulldog Fridays are always optional and are a fun opportunity to build school spirit. Students are invited to wear their bulldog gear or show their Malden Public School spirit in the blue and gold.students.

Student Safety Reminders

At the Beebe School student safety is of utmost concern. Students should come to school at their stated arrival times as there is no supervision available for early arrivals outside of the morning program. We have been noticing an uptick is conflicts happening during these unsupervised times and with the cooler weather approaching it is important students remain safe and comfortable.

Arrival time for students in grades 7 & 8 is 7:45 am with breakfast at 7:30 A.M..

Arrival time for students in grades K - 6 is 8:15 am with breakfast at 8:00 A.M..

For families who are interested in registering their child for MPS Before & After-school program please contact the program director, Ms. McGoldrick. HERE is the link to the program's web page.

We try to get our students outside for recess whenever the weather cooperates. This means we play outside even when the weather's cool. Please be sure to send your child to school with appropriate attire for the weather.

Our partnership with Playworks has been bring some fun and excitement for indoor and outdoor recess. Below you can see the games students have learned and if you click the link HERE, you can visit the game library to read how the games are played.
