Mr. Card by David Muren
Mr. Card teaches 4 subjects: Intro to Physical Science, Physics, Engineering, and Global Science. He also coaches track and field. He has been teaching for 13 years and enjoys doing it. He teaches because nowadays emotions are valued over facts and he wants people to look at the facts and widen their understanding of the world and the universe. He wants to combat beliefs such as flat-earth, anti-vax, and more.
He started teaching in 2008 and first taught in WPHS 2 years ago. He used to teach in Burbank, California teaching 5th graders, but He took both physics and chemistry in high school, enjoyed chemistry, biology, and math the most out of any subject, and went to college for chemical engineering. He didn’t take engineering classes in high school as they weren’t offered in his school. In his free time, he enjoys baking, hiking, and cycling.

The REAL/Summit Platform HOW TO for families
Families, please take the time to watch this video. Although Mrs. Street is discussing the platform from a MS perspective, it is used in the same way at the HS with more academically challenging expectations. Sit next to your students and ask them to show you what they are learning and how they are progressing. If you see a lot of red, have them stay for after school tutoring or attend a power lunch with a teacher. Parents - Sign up to receive text messages to keep you updated about their progress.
