The Industrial Revolution

The industrial revolution is a time period when a lot of modern machines were being invented and there was a lot pollution in the air and water. Smaug was the mixture of smoke and fog. There was two industrial revolutions and the auto mobile (car) was invented at the end of the second one. There was also a lot of bad thing like child labor where children were forced to work 12 hours a day.

Inventors and Their Inventions

Some inventors from this time period are Doctor Richard Gatling that invented the Gatling gun witch was the first rapid fire gun and was used a lot in the World Wars and the American Civil War. Another Inventor was Eli Whitney who invented the cotton gin witch could pick seeds out of cotton 10 times as fast as by hand. The last inventor was Thomas Edison who invented the light bulb witch turned electricity into light.

Child Labor

Child labor was when children of all ages were forced to work in places that were very harmful and dangerous. They had to work all day with very little pay. They also got very little breaks and was fed poorly.

assembly Lines

An assembly line is a line were a bunch of workers are lined up in front of a moving thing that carries things for the workers to work on. Each worker has a different job like one puts it together and another welds them, this was very efficient.
