Teacher Talk
We are on the downward slope towards another vacation around here!! As we wrap up the first part of our year and end 2017, we are going to be B-U-S-Y.
Thank you for alerting me to any missed days or early departures. It helps as I plan our time together. Tuesday is our holiday party from 9:00-10:00 in the upstairs third grade classrooms. It will be quite hectic and it's not for the faint of heart. And the kids LOVE it!

Science Fair Is Coming!
It’s that time of the year again! Science Fair is right around the corner. All grade levels may participate, however, only grades 3-5 will be judged and may progress to regionals. Science fair projects will be due Friday, January 19 no later than 7:35am. Judging will take place on Monday, January 22. Students will take projects to their classroom.

Class Wish List
Thank you so much.
Concepts We'll Study:
Students will be finishing up all work started in earlier weeks. We will finish writing fiction stories so we can develop plays and comic strips upon our return!
Science:
We have been tying up loose ends in natural resources.
Social Studies:
We are finishing up our study of the three branches of government and what each branch is expected to do to help our country. We have also explored map skills. Our focus was on scales, grids, and application of earlier skills from second grade.
Math:
We will start our new unit on geometry but work more with this concept when we return in January.
