NO RUNNING CLUB TOMORROW

See's Candy

See's Candy orders will be delivered to the classrooms on Monday for all upper-grade students who placed orders. If it is a large order (too big for your child to handle on their own), you will be contacted to pick it up from the office.

Social Emotional Learning Parent Engagement Nights

We would like to host an opportunity for you to meet other families, build relationships, and learn from one another to support your children’s social and emotional development. If you are interested in this opportunity, please complete and return the survey below. The following questions will help us determine which topics are most important to you and your family. We will create a family engagement night(s) based on the feedback we receive from parents and caregivers like you. The survey can be found here: https://forms.gle/xCHQ8bzcSnJxg5da7

Lunch Supervisor

Are you or someone you know interested in working at Panorama as a lunch supervisor? We are in need of a lunch supervisor and a substitute lunch supervisor. The lunch supervisor works approximately 2 hours. The substitute would be called when one of our regularly scheduled lunch supervisors is unable to work. Call the office, if you are interested.

Lost and Found

Our lost and found will be out in front of the school all week, because it is overflowing. Any items not picked up before winter break will be donated into our usagain bin.

Emergency Drill

Last week, we conducted our fire drill. The students assembled outside in their classroom lines, after safely evacuating their classrooms. Please practice fire safety at home, and be sure you have a family disaster plan in place that you have discussed with your child.

Elevo PE Program

This week’s games are Bear, Salmon, Mosquito, and Lawn Bowling, and the focus is integrity.

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. Having integrity means being honest with yourself and others, and always keeping your word. Integrity is a highly valued trait because it helps us gain others’ trust, but more importantly, it’s what helps you love and respect yourself. Integrity means focusing on being the best version of yourself you can be.

Literary Book Club

The Literary Book Club is a program that helps replenish books in the school library. This program allows the child’s name to be permanently placed on the inside cover of the donation book, or they can be “dedicated” in honor of a teacher, staff member, friend, etc. If you are interested in joining the Literary Book Club, please fill out and return the form below. This form has also been sent home with your child from school.

Nutrition Services

Breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided to all students at no cost this school year. Breakfast is served before school starts, beginning at 8:00. Please be sure to have your child here at 8:00, if you would like them to eat breakfast before school starts. This ensures they have enough time to finish.

All students need to be sure they let their teacher know the day before they are buying lunch. We may not have enough lunches if they do not request one. Also, please remind your child that they should not be getting lunch if they are bringing one.

You can find the breakfast and lunch menu here: https://docs.isitesoftware.com/snaf-assets/snaf-static/greenmenus/2501081743337031/2022/12/581203-December_2022_Elementary_Menu.pdf

Running Club

Students are welcome to join our Running Club on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings to work toward running 100 miles. Students must be on campus by 7:35 AM to participate. The gate will open at 7:30 and close at 7:35 for those students participating in Running Club. After 7:35, our athletes will not be allowed through the gate.

COVID-19 Procedures and Safety

Individuals who are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should contact their healthcare provider and stay home. If your child or a member of your household has tested positive or is awaiting COVID-19 test results, please follow public health guidance.

If your child tests positive for COVID-19 or experiences COVID-19 symptoms, please contact the school and/or email me at erosselli@orangeusd.org. We will gather information from you and provide you with your options.

If a student tests positive, they are required to isolate. The isolation guidance requires 10 days without testing from when symptoms began or a positive test (whichever comes first). The student can return to school on day 11; however, if a student tests negative on day 5 using an FDA-approved antigen test and all symptoms have improved that student is able to return to school on day 5. If a home test was used, students will need to bring the attestation form to the office upon their return. The student must be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

Please refer to the OUSD Safety and Health Driven Plan and the County of Orange Health Officer’s Orders directly for more information.

The Orange Unified School District will be offering COVID-19 testing Monday through Thursday at the district office from 2:30 - 5:00.

See the flyer below to register for testing. You MUST register prior to arriving to test. Scan the QR code in the flyer or click here: https://apps.livingfitnation.com/covid/registration?q=ZC128mzcc9lFeeoTzoXp3w%3D%3D
