by Chris Wooding
The new world, evolution causes destruction, and fighting to live. Recurring themes in the book Silver, by Chris Wooding. The book is about a boy named Paul, caught in the middle of an outbreak that takes over living things, turns their flesh into silver, and can spread through a small scratch. Even with the odds staked up against them and all hope is seemingly lost, they keep fighting to live. What makes this such an amazing book is that, even in the situation they're in, with metallic creatures that were once their friends trying to kill them, the internal conflicts match the external conflicts. I would recommend this book for people who love action and suspense.
