Holy Family Recognized as Project Adam Texas Heart Safe School
Holy Family Catholic School is pleased to announce that the school is now a recognized Project Adam Texas Heart Safe School! Holy Family is the first Project Adam heart safe school in the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth.
Project ADAM (Automated Defibrillators in Adam’s Memory) is a national non-profit, Cook Children’s Hospital-based community outreach program supporting implementation of written and practiced cardiac emergency response plans for sudden cardiac arrest in schools. It enhances our established emergency plan.
Recognition is achieved by a school after completing an extensive checklist which involves intensive training and practice drills for responding in the event of a sudden cardiac event. Completing the checklist and receiving recognition has been a goal of Holy Family’s during the school year. Holy Family currently has 10 certified CPR/ First Aid Trained Responders. All faculty and staff have annual awareness training on sudden cardiac arrest and our school’s Cardiac Emergency Response Plan.
Our cardiac response team members include Carrie Reeder, Jan Barker, Tracy Head, Mia Cook, Jo Ann Gomez, Meg Ruhter, Anna Brittain, Jodi Price, Daphne Gomez, Maureen Szostek, Linda Gangolf and Mirna Vasquez.

School Nurse (Part Time)
Part-Time Spanish Teacher
Holy Family Catholic School is seeking a part-time Spanish teacher, responsible for all levels of instruction (PK - 8). The ideal candidate will provide Christ-centered faith experiences, challenging academics, and formative student activities that prepare students to respond to God’s call. This is a two, eight-hour day per week position.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Spanish, or Bachelors with at least 12 upper level credit hours in Spanish.
· TexasTeaching Certificate or 12 credit hours in Education courses.
· Prefer practicing Catholic in good standing with a commitment to ongoing formation
in catechetical and spiritual leadership development.
·Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
·Provide a grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities for various grade levels.
·Maintain high professional standards consistent with the missions of Holy Family Catholic School and the Diocese of Fort Worth, and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
·Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
·Assess and document student progress
·Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
·Interact effectively and responds to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
·Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
·Integrate technology effectively into the classroom where appropriate.

Part-Time Music Teaching Position
Holy Family Catholic School is seeking a highly qualified, part-time Elementary Music teacher (General, Instrumental, Choir) for grades PK-8 for the 2019-2020 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accompanist (piano) and directing students during Catholic Mass and organize choir performances at school functions. This position is part-time Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Job Responsibilities include:
·Organize and direct the Christmas and Spring Concerts, and help to produce the school's drama production.
·Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
·Provide a grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/songs for various grade levels.
·Maintain high professional standards consistent with the missions of Holy Family Catholic School and the Diocese of Fort Worth, and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
·Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.

All students participating in these services during the last week of school must register and pre-pay the applicable flat rate fees. To register, complete the attached form, include full payment, and return to the front office no later than Wednesday, May 22, 2019.
FAMILY SERVICE HOUR REQUIREMENT
During each school year, all families are required to perform 30 hours of service for Holy Family Catholic School. All service hours must be recorded within your ParentsWeb account. At this time, all families should review their entries in ParentsWeb for accuracy and update as necessary. On May 6, an assessment of $10.00 per hour for any hour, or portion thereof, not fulfilled was posted to your FACTS account. This assessment may be reduced by further serving of volunteer time through the remainder of the school year and recording the hours within your ParentsWeb account. Or, the assessment may be paid in full.
Parents of an 8th grader must fully serve and record their hours or pay for any outstanding balance no later than May 21, 2019. Failure to do so will keep your student from participating in graduation activities and all academic records being held.
Parents of all other students must fully serve and record their hours or pay for any outstanding balance no later than May 29, 2019. Failure to do so will result in all academic records being held and enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year being revoked.
