Orchard Lane Elementary School
Weekly Newsletter: January 8, 2021
A Note from Mr. Lindner and Mrs. Kader:
Our SDNB window to choose a different learning model (virtual or in-person) for second semester came to a close on December 17th. Thank you for your patience as we work through this districtwide process to ensure success for all our in-person and virtual learning students.
In December, Superintendent Garza wrote “Please note that at the elementary level, a change in your child’s educational model for second semester will likely result in your child having a new teacher. Additionally, other families’ choices may result in class make-up and staffing changes as well, as we may be required to shift teacher resources from virtual to in-person, or vice versa.”
If your child will be assigned a new in-person teacher or virtual teacher, you will receive notification on Friday, January 22nd after 4:00 PM. No teacher request changes will be honored at this time due to the complexity of this process. Please rest assured that your child’s academic and social-emotional needs have been closely considered. Any changes in class placement will go into effect for our first day of the second semester on February 1st!
