Welcome to Our House "Where Character Matters"
Dear Botsford Families,
You might have heard your son or daughter say something about earning a colored heart at school and you might be wondering what this is all about. If you follow our BEST Facebook page you may also have seen several posts about kindness.
At Botsford we have committed to take part in The Great Kindness Challenge. The program is a PreK-12 initiative that positively transforms school culture through kindness. When we signed up, we were provided with tools that enabled us to commit to kindness. Your son or daughter should have brought home a motivating and exciting “checklist” of random acts of kindness. We are encouraging students and staff to participate in the movement by checking off as many items on the list as they can in the span of 3 weeks.
This program is spreading kindness at an impressive scale: in 2017, over 10 million students, 15 thousand schools, and 90 countries committed 500 million acts of kindness. The brief video below share 5 simple acts of kindness. We hope your child surprises you with a special act of kindness.

This is the same caller ID number for all district buildings.
If you see this number as a missed call, please call back the school your child attends and not the number shown on your caller ID.

BEST Chocolate Sale Continues through February 16th
If you would like to help sell chocolate please see Mrs. Gregg in the office. You will sign out a case with her and then sell the bars for $1 each to family and friends. Each case sold earns prizes for your child. We will be giving 2 families a family 4 pack to Ohio's Kalihari Waterpark. For each case sold your family is added to a drawing for the trip. The top seller will also earn the family 4 pack.

Toys at School are a Distraction
These items also present themselves as a distraction when children have them in their pockets or hidden in their desks. Please talk to your child about these toys. It is best to keep them at home. Teachers have been advised to take the items and then contact parents to pick them up.
