Home COVID Testing
Positive COVID results please report positive results to Wayne County Public Health Department at: https://hipaa.jotform.com/213433520882048. And let your school nurse know.
Negative COVID results should be reported to your school nurse prior to your child's return to school. Please send a picture of the negative test with the child's name, date and time of test to your school nurse. ParentSquare is the best format for sending the results.
Please keep you child home if they are sick. We have COVID-19 test kits available upon request for anyone that would like them. To request a kit, please reach out to the main office of your child's school.

Gananda Central School District Needs Your Help!
Now is the time to act! We are asking all residents to send a letter or email to Senator Helming, Assemblyman Manktelow, and Senator Mayer to urge them to take action. You can find a letter template and email address for each contact on our website.
By working together we have the potential to lower school taxes and provide more opportunities for our local students! Thanks in advance for your support.

Mononucleosis is spread through saliva...This includes sharing eating utensils, drinks, lip gloss and kissing. Because it takes 4 weeks for symptoms to appear, a person who is infected can spread the virus without even knowing it. The infection is common among teenagers and young adults. People with mono experience extreme fatigue, fever and body aches.
Should you suspect mono; follow up with your doctor.

National Nutrition Month
School nutrition professionals help keep students healthy and ready to learn! The school meals they plan, prepare, and serve are based on federal nutrition standards, and they give children and adolescents important nutrients for proper growth and development.
During the pandemic, school nutrition staff rose to the challenge to meet the nutritional needs of students. Using CDC’s COVID-19 guidance, they:
• Implemented layered prevention strategies.
• Modified physical spaces and meal distribution methods.
• Navigated supply chain challenges to safely prepare and serve school meals.
To celebrate National Nutrition Month, we asked school nutrition professionals about their experiences maintaining this lifeline for families and safely operating school meal programs. Check out and share our featured school nutrition staff posts on Twitter and be sure to leave a comment to congratulate them on a job well done.
Visit our website to learn more about the importance of school nutrition and school meal programs.
