How is the Zika Virus contracted?
Zika virus can be found in the blood and passed from an infected person to a mosquito through a mosquito bite. An infected mosquito can then spread the virus to other people.
Symptoms of the Zika Virus
When present, symptoms are mild and last less than a week. They include fever, rash, joint pain, conjunctivitis. When present, symptoms are mild and last less than a week. Although in most cases there are no symptoms.
Health Effects of the Zika Virus
There are no health effects of the Zika Virus.
Treatment for the Zika Virus
There's is currently no vaccine, specific treatment, or cure. Although, there is a way to relieve the pain of the zika virus. Like resting, rehydration, acetaminophen for fever and pain. Plus, an Antihistamine: Diphenhydramine (Benadryl),and Tylenol (pain reliever).
